Contemporary Duplex Overlooking Bondi Beach * This project is currently under construction. Coming soon.
LOCATION: Sydney, Australia TYPE: Residential
I am designing a 200m² duplex apartment at Bondi Beach, Sydney, where coastal serenity meets modern design. With renovations completed, I focus on transforming the space into a personalized home through thoughtful furniture layout and styling.
The existing layout provides a solid foundation, enhanced by a navy modular sofa, mid-century-inspired armchairs, a sleek coffee table, and a gradient-toned rug in the living area. The dining space features a solid wood table with a matching bench and black-framed rattan-backed chairs, adding natural texture. Updated flooring and finishes create a cohesive atmosphere.
This project fuses my Mediterranean essence with retro elements, integrating earthy tones and organic materials with modern lines for a timeless yet contemporary feel.
A Thoughtful Design in a Tranquil Setting * This project is currently under construction. Coming soon.
LOCATION: Castellfollit del Boix, Spain TYPE: Residential
This interior design project entails a private 90m² home nestled in tranquil woods, thoughtfully oriented for sustainability. The layout carefully distributes spaces: the food storage room faces north, while the living room enjoys abundant southern light.
Located in Castellfollit del Boix, the house is currently under construction, with key elements like the pavement, walls, windows, and rustic wooden ceiling already in place, contributing to a contemporary yet charming interior. I am focused on selecting materials and designing the interiors to create a seamless blend of modern and inviting elements, heightening anticipation for a visually appealing and comforting space.
The floor plans offer an effective division between communal and private areas, optimizing the 90m² footprint. Key spaces, such as the living room, are strategically positioned to capture sunlight, while functional areas like storage rooms are on the cooler side for energy efficiency. The open layout promotes effortless movement, while the separation of bedrooms ensures tranquility, all contributing to a harmonious and practical living environment.
This interior design project features a Mediterranean home in Empordà, Costa Brava, a prominent coastal area of Catalonia. I was fortunate to participate in this project during my first internship at APinteriorisme, engaging in the entire design process, including site visits that bridged the transition from architect to designer. Together with the client, we arranged the distribution, selected materials and furniture, and designed custom pieces, focusing on every detail.
Nestled in Empordà, this house reflects the traditional Catalan countryside with its brown and grey façade, mirroring the sunlit landscape. Spacious interiors showcase azure blues, sunlit yellows, and rustic wooden beams. Open living areas capture breathtaking views, while bedrooms overlook gardens and the swimming pool. The kitchen marries farmhouse aesthetics with modern convenience, and outdoor terraces invite al fresco living, embodying the essence of coastal gatherings.
Through site visits, I learned the significance of collaboration among clients, architects, and designers. Observing these interactions underscored how each perspective contributes to the design process, from concepts to final details, enhancing my understanding of effective communication and teamwork in achieving a cohesive project.
A New Frame for How We Work * This project has been nominated BAU TALENT VISIONS in 2023
LOCATION: Barcelona, Spain TYPE: Coworking
‘A Frame For Work’ is a coworking space located in Poblenou, Barcelona, designed for young professionals taking their first steps in the professional world. The project explores how workplaces can be reimagined for well-being, focusing on the human experience through neuroarchitecture. Inspired by the evolution of office spaces, it aims to create a stimulating yet home-like environment where work feels easier, social, and enjoyable. Post-pandemic changes in work culture and the need for flexible, thoughtful design are central to its concept.
The space is built around the idea of connecting people to their senses and surroundings, with every design decision rooted in how it influences users’ feelings and activities. The coworking environment is divided into three key zones: community, teamwork, and personal work. These areas vary in size and openness, allowing users to choose spaces that suit their specific tasks, whether collaborative or individual. This flexibility ensures the space adapts to different working styles and needs.
Using tools from neuroarchitecture, the design incorporates sensory mapping and emphasizes atmospheres that enhance well-being. The project transforms the Granada building into a community workplace where young professionals can thrive. By placing humans at the center of design, ‘A Frame For Work’ offers a fresh approach to workplace design, creating spaces that foster curiosity, connection, and creativity.
A Space for Stories, Silence, and Specialty Coffee
LOCATION: Barcelona, Spain TYPE: Retail
Kimya Coffee Shop is a café/bookstore located in the Poblenou 22@ district of Barcelona, a vibrant area known for art, design, and innovation. The project is designed as a tranquil refuge for workers and students, offering a space to enjoy specialty coffee and books in a calm, welcoming atmosphere. Inspired by the meaning of "Kimya" (silence in Swahili), the space transitions gradually from lively to serene, with areas for quick visits near the entrance and intimate seating at the back.
The design incorporates Mediterranean aesthetics with natural, neutral materials and a color palette of gray, beige, terracotta, and green. Large bookshelves line the walls, enhancing the sense of calm.
This project was developed as an university project, combining conceptual development, retail space design, and an executive project plan.
